Everyone acquires older. And the gifted James Deems Taylor turns 60, today. I’m scarce the large sports fan of James Joseph Deems Taylor, but this classic hit of his is one of my favorite vocals, even if it is a sorry vocal about a former lady friend of his who passed away. Worn but dead on target: Living is changed. First the studio apartment variation, then the live, acoustic version–JT is one of the few who is genuinely a pleasance to find out “disconnected”. And–even though his political relation are bete noire to me–he was very raging, back in the twenty:
